1. Core Philosophy & Stance

At MbtiTestfree (mbtitestfree.com), we believe psychological self-reflection should be private, secure, and respectful of your autonomy. You do not need to register, supply a password, or submit your name or email to complete our 25-question assessment or view full results.

We operate on a strict privacy-by-design architecture: rather than collecting sensitive personal identifiable information (PII) and attempting to secure large centralized user databases, our platform simply avoids collecting identity-linked assessment data in the first place.

2. Technical Data Processed

Depending on how you interact with our website, the following categories of technical information may be temporarily processed:

  • Assessment Responses: As you select answers across the 25 questions, choices are retained strictly in your local browser memory (sessionStorage). This allows seamless forward and backward navigation during the quiz. We do not store raw question responses linked to an identity on our servers.
  • Trait Scores: Your 4-letter type and percentage ratios (e.g. 64% Intuitive vs. 36% Sensing) are computed entirely on the client side upon quiz completion.
  • Inquiries: If you voluntarily reach out via our Contact Us form or email, we receive your name, email, and message solely to respond to your specific inquiry.

3. Browser Storage & Cookies

We use standard modern web storage APIs for fundamental website functionality:

  • Theme State: Your selected visual theme (Light or Dark) is saved in your browser's localStorage under the key theme.
  • Quiz Session: In-progress question answers are temporarily held in sessionStorage and clear automatically when you close your browser tab.

You can clear your browser storage at any time via your browser preferences without impacting your ability to use the site.

4. Server Logs & Analytics

Like standard web applications, our web hosting infrastructure automatically logs standard technical requests (HTTP verb, requested page URL, anonymized IP, user agent, and timestamp). These diagnostic logs are used exclusively to:

  • Guarantee uptime, performance, and server stability
  • Protect against malicious botnets, automated scraping, and DDoS attacks
  • Evaluate aggregate completion trends across our 16 personality types

We never cross-reference server logs to de-anonymize or profile individual visitors.

5. Social Sharing & External Services

We offer optional social share buttons (e.g. WhatsApp, X/Twitter, LinkedIn, and native device sharing). When clicked, your device directly opens that external service. We do not transmit your assessment results to third-party ad networks or trackers.

6. Your Rights & Data Retention (GDPR & CCPA)

Because we do not maintain accounts or store persistent personality databases tied to personal identities, there is generally no personal profile to delete or export. Any stored test state in your browser can be purged instantly by clearing your browser cache and local storage.

If you have sent us an email or contact message, you may request the deletion of that correspondence at any time under GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) or CCPA (California Consumer Privacy Act) standards.
